ok so this is my first piece of concept art for ArtSlam.
As you can see it's very sketchy and very rough but I love his design none the less. I know posting only starts on June 1st but I just had to doodle him X3 Hopefully I'll have figured out how the fudge the "cuts" in livejournal work by the time i need to post him there lol This cuddly little critter is a deception demon. His "face" is not his real face and is actually only used to distract prey from the his real mouth, which is big, wide and full of long, jagged needle-sharp teeth. All of their power lies in the front half of their bodies (as is evident in their teeny tiny back legs) so they move using mostly their arms (sort of leg gorillas only more loping and slightly crazed movements). I haven't given the species a name yet but I will soon. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
